Rosie was Minister for Transport from June 2007 to October 2008. You can click here to read any of Rosie’s speeches or statements on Transport.
Two achievements Rosie is particularly proud of are the Local Transport Bill which gives local authorities greater control of local bus services and the introduction of Concessionary Bus Passes, which guarantee free travel to people over 60 and disabled people throughout England. It means that whether using the bus locally, or when visiting other parts of the country, older and disabled people will be able to travel for free.
