Westminster News / Rosie gets behind the microscope at Breast Cancer Now research fair in Parliament
The fair was an opportunity to meet the scientists behind the cutting-edge research which the charity hopes will ensure that by 2050 everyone who develops breast cancer will live, and live well.
During the drop in Rosie also learned about the work of the 'Breast Cancer Now Generations Study' which is following more than 113,000 women in the UK over 40 years, to help pinpoint the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that contribute to a women's risk of developing breast cancer.
Every year, around 55,000 women and around 350 men in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer, and sadly around 11,500 still lose their lives to the disease every year.
