Pubs are at the cornerstone of our communities, offering a safe and social space for people to meet, providing 900,000 jobs across the UK and contributing £23billion to the economy. However despite their great value,
recent CAMRA research has found that 18 pubs a week are forced to close their doors for good to the detriment of communities and the local economy they once served.

Camra say that while recent planning laws to better protect pubs have been welcome, taxation on pubs and beer continue to be detrimental to pubs, brewers and the price of a pint.
