Dinosaur expert Dean Lomax won a top award at the House of Commons.

Dean, who was supported by Rosie in his efforts to win the prize, won the Biology Session gold medal in the Set for Britain Awards for his work on fossils.

Rosie said: “Dean is a Doncaster lad so I’m over the moon about his award. I think it’s well deserved and I look forward to supporting his work in the future.”

The awards are run to raise the profile of Britain’s early-stage researchers at Westminster be showing projects to MPs.

His work on research about discovering a new species of ichthyosaur, an extinct marine reptile, was judged against other people’s projects.
