The Government is introducing a package of support for small and medium sized businesses including free “health checks”, help with cash flow with prompt payment of bills by the public sector and better support for training.
The package is focussing £350 million to help small and medium size businesses train their staff with the minimum level of bureaucracy or delay.
Business Link, the Government’s business support service, is offering a free “health check” to all businesses, to help them identify what they need to do to remain resilient during the tough economic times.
The Business Link website contains a free guide, produced by the Institute of Credit Management, on how businesses can maintain cash flow and limit problems caused by late or non-payment.
