Local News / Kids visit superstore for school equipment giveaway
Pupils from four Doncaster schools met Rosie when she visited a Balby supermarket.
The Doncaster Central MP will presented boxes of new equipment to the schools, donated with funds raised from Tesco's Schools & Clubs scheme.
Fifty schools and clubs in Rosie’s constituency received equipment worth £17,473 from the supermarket chain last year.
The four schools were: Mallard Primary, Waverley Primary, Balby Central Primary and St Francis Xavier’s Catholic Primary.
Rosie said: “The equipment will be a great help to the schools in my constituency who took part in this scheme. It’s an excellent initiative, which gives a lot back to the community.”
Store manager Alison Reed said: “We are really pleased Rosie will be presenting the products, a result of thousands of vouchers collected by our customers.”
