Rosie visited a firm which has told young apprentices: “You're hired”.
Polypipe, which makes plastic piping systems for the construction industry, is now employing six apprentices at its Doncaster site.

The company is also funding three engineering students at Doncaster College.
Rosie toured the firm’s 11-acre Neale Road factory and met employees and was shown the firm’s new multi-million pound equipment.
She said: “It’s fantastic to see a Doncaster firm continuing to invest and showing enthusiasm for apprenticeships and training.
“The economic climate has put increased pressure on employers, so it’s good news that a firm right here in Doncaster is investing in the community.
“Apprenticeships give young people a clear path to a job and the skills they need to succeed in the workplace. Better-educated and skilled young people are vital to the future economic prosperity of this country.”
Polypipe’s Chief Executive Officer David Hall said: “Like many manufacturing businesses in the UK, Polypipe has faced many challenges throughout the economic downturn in the UK.
“However, a continued focus on improving efficiencies linked to on-going investment in both its people and its manufacturing capability has further strengthened Polypipe’s position in building products manufacturing within the UK construction sector.”
