Jamie Keeps Armthorpe Miners Memorial Garden in Shape

Dame Rosie Winterton DBE, MP for Doncaster Central today met with Jamie Holdridge, aged 13, at the
Armthorpe Miners Memorial Garden.

Rosie congratulated Jamie on the voluntary work he is doing at the Armthorpe Miners Memorial Garden as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award scheme, such as gardening, looking after the trees and
plants and general cleaning up and painting.
 
Jamie is very interested in finding out about the miners who are commemorated at the garden and is pleased to be able to help out weekly in his local community.
