Doncaster Central MP, Rosie Winterton, visited insurer Direct Line Group's Lakeside Boulevard office on Friday 5th October. She met the company's new intake of apprentices and graduates and was briefed on how both programmes are working. Direct Line Group offers a range of general insurance products to consumers via well known brands including Direct Line, Churchill and Privilege.
Direct Line Group's graduate and apprenticeship programme is now in its third year. Graduates typically spend six month placements learning about different aspects of the business. Meanwhile apprentices receive technical training via customer facing frontline roles while working towards vocational qualifications.
Rosie Winterton MP said:
'It was great to meet Direct Line Group's apprentices and graduates to hear first hand how it is working in the Doncaster area. Successful businesses take their training needs seriously and it is clear the company is training them to a high standard.'
Ryan Hilton, Centre Manager at Direct Line Group's Lakeside Boulevard office said:
'We are very proud of our apprenticeship and graduate programme here in Doncaster. We appreciate Rosie taking the time to learn more about our training programmes, which are critical in developing the leaders of the future.'
