YGAM – a charity that aims to inform, educate and safeguard young people against problem gambling or
social gambling – held a teacher training workshop in Doncaster today.

Doncaster Council helped to organise the workshop and teachers attending had the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of gambling and gambling related harm and find out about YGAM’s programme which includes a curriculum and resources that can be delivered in workshops to students and young people.

Dame Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central has been working with Anne Evans, a YGAM Ambassador to raise the profile of problem gambling, and attended the workshop where Anne, together with Lee Willows, the founder of YGAM, both shared their personal stories around gambling addiction, its consequences, what they had learned and why they are now engaging with the gambling industry in a positive way.
