About Rosie / Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber
Rosie was Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber between January 2008 and April 2010.
As Minister for the Region, Rosie's goal was to support the growth of the regional economy by promoting Yorkshire and the Humber as a great place to live, to visit and to do business and to establish a stronger connection between government and the region.
By working closely with the Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber, Yorkshire Forward, Local Authorities and business Rosie channelled views into government departments, at the most senior levels.
Since the 2010 General Election Rosie has been Labour's spokesperson for Yorkshire and the Humber and continues to support the work of Yorkshire Forward.
