Rosie signed a Book of Commitment at the House of Commons to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

The book honours those who died during the Holocaust as well as the survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people about what they endured.

Holocaust Memorial Day (Wednesday January 27) marks the 71st anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, the site of the largest mass murder in history.

The theme for this year’s memorial is 'don’t stand by', encouraging people not to be bystanders to hate crime and prejudice.

Rosie said: "Holocaust Memorial Day, and the activities that mark it throughout the country and here in Doncaster, are a reminder of the challenges faced by previous generations.

"Most important of all, they are a reminder of the best memorial we can give to the victims of the Holocaust – that no matter where it’s happening in the world, we will not tolerate genocide.

"I encourage all constituents to mark the day and to join members of my community in the fight against prejudice and intolerance."
