The Town Moor Ward was created from part of the old Wheatley and Town Field wards, as well as the ward of Intake.
It is a largely urban ward, although the Moor itself is the largest green space in central Doncaster. This ward is also home to the Town Moor Golf Course, as well as the Doncaster Racecourse.
Established in the 1700's, the racecourse is one of the oldest in the country and is the home of the St Ledger Stakes, the oldest classic horse race in the world.
In April Rosie met with residents for a coffee and a chat at the Intake United Reform Church to discuss crime and anti-social behaviour.
Rosie was joined by members of Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) for Intake and Wheatley, covering the neighbourhoods in Wheatley Park from Wentworth Road to Derby Road, Clay Lane Estate, Shaw Lane Industrial Estate, and Wheatley Hills. Intake is covered from Zetland Road/Leicester Avenue to the boundary with Armthorpe.
Local people had the opportunity to meet their local Safer Neighbourhood team and to let them and Rosie know what more can be done locally to tackle anti-social behaviour.
